资源简介:
El Nino and La Nina events occurred in the tropical Pacific affect not only the climate in the tropics such as drought and downpour, but also in the mid-latitude involving Japan, and polar region. Indian Ocean Dipole Event also affects the climate in the mid-latitude similar to the El Nino and La Nina events. It is important to observe and understand these phenomena and improve their predictability for the researches of earth environment and climate change. Observation data by Global Tropical Moored Buoy Array (GTBA), Research Moored Array for Asia-Australia-African Monsoon Analysis and Prediction (RAMA), and TAO/TRITON buoys in the Pacific are opened through this web page. These moorings are maintained under the collaborations of institutes and operational organizations involving Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC). This Online Resource provides information in Japanese. If you need information in English, please refer to original TRITON and IOMICS datasites described at the following Related URL.
