North Sea oil well decommissioning expenditure forecast UK by value chain 2020-2029

Well decommissioning is expected to account for the greatest volume of expenditures to be spend on the overall decommissioning of oil and gas platforms on the United Kingdom Continental Shelf. Between 2020 and 2029, well decommissioning is forecast to require nearly 7.4 billion British pounds in spending. By comparison, the preparation and removal of topsides and substructures is expected to result in roughly 2.7 billion British pounds of expenditure.
