The mammalian liver architecture consists of a honeycomb-like pattern built by hexagonal functional units termed lobules, which are spatially zonated between portal and central veins. Using spatial transcriptomics profiling we have mapped the liver lobule and reconstructed the different metabolic hepatic zones using unsupervised cluster analysis. Besides identifying hepatocytes, we identified proliferating cells as well hepatic veins.This data set accompanies the publication: Sun et al. ZNRF3 and RNF43 cooperate to safeguard metabolic liver zonation and hepatocyte proliferation. Cell stem cell 2021.
