CCPSEI Landscape

In early 2020 as the first patients with COVID-19 arrived via aeromedical evacuation to Omaha, we (co-PI Professor Broadhurst | Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology) launched what was the first prospective observational cohort on COVID-19 in the United States, called the Clinical Characterization Protocol for Severe Emerging Infections (CCPSEI), adapted from an internationally harmonized ISARIC protocol. The adapted protocol, tools, and procedures were subsequently adopted with and without modification at several other institutions. While the UNMC cohort is focused, it is well curated. This file is a clinical epidemiologic data landscape from this cohort generated early in the pandemic. This landscape was designed for clinical orientation and hypothesis generation--the data is organized thematically rather than as a composite line list, in much the same way that clinicians organize their data when tracking patient status.
