A major function of the Melbourne Harbor Trust Commissioners was the management of port facilities including ships and tugs. This series documented the repairs carried out to floating plant.Recordings in the volume commenced in 1952. The numbering suggests that it was not the first volume within the series. The last entries were made in 1978. It appears that this particular record keeping system ceased upon the constitution of the Port of Melbourne Authority in 1978.
