Drivers of U.S. Regional Wine Development: A Systematized Scoping Review Dataset (2000–2025)

Dataset Description This dataset contains bibliographic records and study-level metadata for a systematized scoping review of U.S. regional wine development literature published between 2000 and 2025. The dataset represents the final included corpus of peer-reviewed and methodologically robust studies identified through a structured search, screening, and eligibility workflow aligned with PRISMA scoping review guidance. The dataset is designed to support transparency, reproducibility, and secondary analysis of how regional wine development has been conceptualized across interdisciplinary U.S.-focused scholarship, including economic geography, tourism studies, agribusiness, and regional development research. Data Source and Collection The dataset was constructed through a structured literature review process involving: Bibliographic searches conducted on December 10, 2025 Databases searched: Web of Science, Scopus, and EconLit Deduplication and screening conducted using reference management software and Rayyan From an initial retrieval of 1,431 records, 1,304 unique records remained after deduplication. Following title/abstract screening and full-text eligibility assessment, 23 studies met all inclusion criteria and are included in this dataset. Each record corresponds to a single included study.
