Freedom of Information Requests - 2009

The Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) gives individuals the right to ask for access to municipal government information. The Act also protects the privacy of individual's personal information and gives them the right to request their own personal information that may exist in government records. This data set consists of all formal Freedom of Information requests made to the Region of Waterloo under MFIPPA. Identifying information such as names and addresses have been removed from the data to protect personal identification. A notification such as {name removed} has been indicated where information was removed.《市政信息自由与隐私保护法案》（Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, MFIPPA）赋予自然人请求获取市政政府信息的法定权利。该法案同时保障自然人的个人信息隐私，并赋予其申请调取政府档案中自身个人信息的权利。本数据集包含所有依据MFIPPA向滑铁卢地区（Region of Waterloo）提交的正式信息自由申请。为保护个人身份信息，数据中已移除姓名、住址等身份识别信息；对于已移除的信息项，均标注有类似{姓名已移除}的提示标识。
