资源简介:
The biodiversity of multi-trophic biological communities within riverine sediments, and the quality of these sediments, are impacted by socioeconomic development. The objectives of this study are twofold: firstly, to elucidate the manner in which socioeconomic development at the catchment scale within the watershed influences the distribution of whole community biodiversity in sediments and sediment quality; and secondly, to investigate the influence of socioeconomic development at the catchment scale within the watershed on the distribution of whole community biodiversity in sediments and sediment quality. The present study characterized the spatial distribution of species across multi-trophic levels (i.e. bacteria, algae, and metazoan etc.) in the sediments of the Beiluo River. This was achieved by analyzing 16S rRNA and 18S rRNA. The biodiversity of river sediment ecosystems and the quality of their sediment in response to socioeconomic development were evaluated using a partial least-squares path model (PLS-PM), co-occurrence network analysis, heatmaps, and redundancy analysis (RDA). This is the inaugural study to investigate the characteristics of multitrophic level biological communities and sediment quality in rivers impacted by socioeconomic development.
