Metadata for all sequenced samples and concentration of the V2 region of the 16S rRNA gene per sample. The metadata includes pedigree information, caste, collection year, batch, and number of guts pooled. To determine the total number of copies per termite gut, the number of termites extracted, elution volume, and dilution factors prior to droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) were used. NTC refers to non-template controls, which were ddH2O.
