Mineral foams like foamed cement or plaster foams are solid porous materials obtained from liquid foams. Along the solidification process, such foams age due to bubble coarsening but the impact of aging of the foam structure is poorly understood. The main objective of this proposal is to monitor in situ the early stages of setting, from foam formation to the arrest of coarsening, and to characterize how the interplay between the solidification and coarsening impacts both the foamy structure (bubble/pore size) and the microstructure (plaster/gypsum network).
