Bovine transcriptome

The aim of the project is searching for polymorphisms in 3’UTR sequences and analyzing expression profiles of candidate genes for cattle production traits. The study explores the possibility that the polymorphisms placed in potential binding sites for regulatory miRNA molecules can change miRNA binding capacity and, therefore, influence on expression of target genes. Project manager is prof. Lech Zwierzchowski. Library preparation and sequencing experiment were performed in the Department of Medical Genetics at the Medical University of Warsaw, by Marta Dux and Michał Miller in collaboration with team of prof. Rafał Płoski, Małgorzata Rydzanicz, PD and Joanna Kosińska, PhD. This research was supported by the National Science Centre - Project No: 2014/13/B/NZ9/02509.
