We employed single-cell RNA sequencing to interrogate early cardiac progenitor cells as they become specified during normal and Hand2-deficient cardiogenesis, to understand how dysregulation of specific cellular sub-populations can have catastrophic consequences. Overall design: Examination of single cell transcriptomes from cardiac progenitors captured at E7.75, E8.25 and E9.25 from Wild type (WT) and Hand2-null mouse embryos. At least 2 biological replicate embryos were analyzed per time point, per condition.
