Monitoring Muscle Fatigue and Biomechanics in Amateur Cyclists Using Infrared Thermography
收藏资源简介:
In this study, infrared thermography is explored as a window into the body’s internal dynamics during cycling, revealing not only the primary muscles involved but also the subtle processes of fatigue, heat generation, and recovery. The work combines detailed anatomical imaging, thermal analyses at different stages of exertion, and a rigorous protocol design to ensure that the findings are robust, reproducible, and useful for both researchers and practitioners. Diagrams delineate the central pedaling muscles (hip flexors, quadriceps, etc.), illustrating how each phase of motion contributes to thermal stress. A standard protocol is proposed that includes all necessary measures to minimize external distortions: fixed environmental conditions, pre-trial subject preparation, consistent camera angle and distance, and strict chronological monitoring (rest, peak exercise, recovery). The document provides a guide for transforming infrared thermography from a variable, fragmented tool into a reliable instrument for sports designers, physiologists, and coaches interested in optimizing performance and preventing injury.
