AtrA, a member of the TetR family that is highly conserved in streptomycetes and serves widely as a pleiotropic regulator of primary and secondary metabolism. In our previous work, AtrA was found to modulate the lidamycin production in Streptomyces globisporus C-1027 via a negative feedback loop. Here we sequenced and compared the transcriptomes of wild type strain (C-1027), atrA mutant (AtrAKO) and its complemented strain (AtrAKOC) at time point 24 h, 48 h and 72 h, to determine its pleiotropic regulatory effect on primary metabolism and other secondary metabolites production in S. globisporus C-1027.
