Please reference the Related Publication listed here for source and citation information This dataset is provided by the US Environmental Protection Agency. \"The gridded EPA U.S. methane greenhouse gas inventory (gridded methane GHGI) includes time series of annual methane emission maps with 0.1° x 0.1° (~ 10 x 10 km) spatial and monthly temporal resolution for the contiguous United States (CONUS). This gridded methane inventory is designed to be consistent with methane emissions from the U.S. EPA Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks (U.S. GHGI). An initial set of files (v1, 2012) were part of the GHGI version 1, reported in Maasakkers, et al., 2016. The version 2 files present data through 2018, and extension files through 2020, as reported in Maasakkers et al., 2023. The v2 files are also archived at zenodo (8367082).
