<strong>Participants:</strong> Data were collected from 19 to 26 March 2022. 1530 participants (636 men) from different colleges in the southern area of China were chosen using the convenience sampling method. <strong>Measures</strong> <em><strong>Subjective socioeconomic status (subjective SES).</strong></em> The subjective SES scale containing 1 item (Adler, Epel, Castellazzo, &amp; Ickovics, 2000) was chosen to assess the level of subjective SES in this study. <em><strong>Life satisfaction. </strong></em>The Chinese version of the Satisfaction With Life Scale (Cai, Lin, Wu, Yan, &amp; Huang, 2008) containing 5 items, translated from the Satisfaction With Life Scale (Pavot &amp; Diener, 1993), was chosen to assess the level of life satisfaction in this study. <em><strong>Objective socioeconomic status (objective SES).</strong></em> The objective SES scale (Lu, 2002) containing 2 items was chosen to assess the level of objective SES in this study. <em><strong>Sense of control</strong></em><em>. </em>The Chinese version of the Sense of Control Scale (Li, 2012) containing 12 items, translated from the Sense of Control Scale (Lachman &amp; Weaver, 1998), was chosen to assess the level of sense of control in this study. <em><strong>Meaning in life.</strong></em> The Chinese version of the Meaning in Life Questionnaire (Liu &amp; Gan, 2014) containing 9 items, translated from the Meaning in Life Questionnaire (Michael &amp; Steger, 2002), was chosen to assess the level of meaning in life.
