To our knowledge, this is the first study to systematically examine the independent and joint associations between sleep duration, PA, and the prevalence ofT2D in a Chinese population aged 45 and above from a prospective perspective. Given the rising prevalence of type 2 diabetes globally and particularly in China, understanding modifiable risk factors is crucial for developing effective public health strategies.
