We generated loss of function TtZIP4 B2 (Chr 5B) copy with CRISPR-Cas9 system. Disruption of ZIP4 B2 was determined in the T1 generation using Illmina Next generation sequencing. We have used a combination of cytogenetics and immunocytology to determine how disruption of ZIP4 copies affects synapsis and crossover in tetraploid wheat.
