资源简介:

On 9 July 1956, a major seismic sequence affected the southeastern Cyclades, Greece. A ~Ms 7.4 earthquake occurred at 05:11 local time, followed thirteen minutes later by a second event of Ms>6. With epicentres located between Amorgos and Santorini, these earthquakes caused 54 fatalities and widespread destruction on Santorini. In contrast, the impact on Amorgos remains poorly documented despite its close proximity to the rupture zone (less than 30 km). The first comprehensive geophysical survey of Amorgos was conducted in 2025, combining passive and active seismic methods. The survey included Ambient Vibration Arrays (AVAs), single-station ambient vibration measurements, and Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW).The objective was to characterise the local site response in the island's main inhabited areas and identify potential site amplification or attenuation effects associated with the island's geological setting. This repository contains the raw data collected during the survey (.zip files), including:- Three circular Ambient Vibration Arrays (AVAs) located at Aegiali, Katapola, and Arkesini.- Eleven single-station ambient vibration measurements acquired in 2025 and 2026 at various locations across the island for the computation of Microtremor Horizontal-to-Vertical Spectral Ratio (MHVSR) curves.- Six linear active seismic profiles using the Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) method. The repository also includes an spreadsheet (.xlsx) containing the associated metadata for all measurements, including station names, geographical coordinates, acquisition date and time (UTC), and the type of sensor used. These data accompany the manuscript submitted to Geophysical Journal International in 2026.
