Code and dataset for "Drought Effects on Diazotrophic Communities in Xinjiang Grasslands", 2025/12

We analyzed 155 soil samples from nine grassland types in Xinjiang (aridity index, AI range from 0.46 to 0.88) using high-throughput nifH gene sequencing to investigate the diversity, co-occurrence networks, and community assembly mechanisms of diazotrophs along a natural drought gradient. Additionally, we aimed to identify the key environmental drivers shaping these communities and to assess the relationships between dominant taxa and soil organic carbon (SOC) and total nitrogen (TN).
