OpenStreetMap road location data and statistics for cities in India and the United States, 2020

Shapefiles of OpenStreetMaps street network for individual cities within the United States and India, based on boundaries defined in Akbar et al. (2023), and data files of statistics about OpenStreetMaps network within ieach of thse cities (e.g. total length of road categories). Accessed via OSMnx (Boeing, 2017) in 2020. OpenStreeMap data is crowdedsourced from a large number of collaborators. Used in the replication data for: Akbar, Prottoy, Victor Couture, Gilles Duranton, and Adam Storeygard. 2023.
