资源简介:
EPM 25135 is located in northeast Queensland, approximately 37 km southwest of Charters Towers and comprises 31 sub-bocks. The EPM is one of a group of 7 exploration tenements in the Charters Towers district that comprise the Liontown Project Area and are held by Auctus Resources Pty Ltd (Auctus). The tenement was granted to Mungana Goldmines Ltd (MUX) on the 20th November, 2013 and is now wholly owned by Auctus.
In 2018, Minotaur Exploration entered into a Joint Venture with Auctus at what is now called the Windsor Project. This project encompasses 7 tenements, including EPM 25135. On the 26th of September 2018 Minotaur applied and was granted Project Status on 3rd January 2019 over all the tenements within the Windsor JV, including EPM 25135. Minotaur are currently Manager and Operator of the Joint Venture.
The tenement is considered most prospective for Cambro‐Ordovician VHMS deposits within the Seventy Mile Range Group, Siluro‐Devonian Charters Towers‐style mesothermal quartz vein associated gold mineralisation within granitoid intrusives, and Permo‐Carboniferous Mount Leyshon style porphyry and breccia‐hosted gold deposits, possibly focused along granitoid contacts.
An in-depth review of Liontown Resources 2007 VTEM survey revealed a series of high and very high ranked VTEM anomalies within EPM25135 at three main prospects i.e. Blenheim/Royale, Trafalgar Bore and Mystery that are interpreted to represent basement conductors potentially related to VMS style mineralisation.
Field inspection of very high and high ranked VTEM anomalies at Blenheim/Royale and Trafalgar Bore revealed indicators of VMS style mineralisation at Blenheim/Royale and at Trafalgar Bore were due to conductive cover sequences and not related to a basement source.
As the VTEM anomalies at Blenheim/Royale prospect are complimented by soil and rock chip base metal and VMS pathfinder element anomalism and occur along a significant stratigraphic boundary related to the Thalanga VMS deposit and appear to be untested by drilling despite the drillholes at the western end of the prospect, further investigation of these anomalies is recommended.
A series of ground EM lines over the western most and the remaining anomalies is recommended along with negotiations with Cromarty/Red River Resources for access to their tenement that occurs to the south of EPM25135 Liontown 3 so that background EM readings maybe collected before surveying over the VTEM anomalies located on EPM25135 Liontown 3.
As the VTEM anomalies at Trafalgar Bore are interpreted to be from cover sequence sources and not basement anomalies no further work is recommended at this prospect.
Field inspection of the VTEM anomalies Lion_12 and _14 at Mystery prospect is recommended in the upcoming field season.
