Size 101/2 in. by 61/4 in.; foll. 657. Twenty-one lines in a page. The latter portion of a large Commentary on the کنز الدقائق, beginning with the کتاب الدعوی. If a recent inscription on fol. 73 may be trusted, this is التبیین, i.e. the تبیین الحقائق of Fakhr al-dîn ‘Othmân b. ‘Alî ZAILA’Î (d. A.H. 743). Cf. Ḥ. Kh. v. 250; Aumer, Hdss. Münch. 99 sq.; and Flügel, Class. 332. The text of the Kanz is introduced by قال. Indifferently written, of the eleventh century. The first leaf is wanting. Beginning: و اسم الفاعل مدعی. Other defects after foll. 38, 39, 480, 544, 597, 607, and 656. Several leaves mutilated. Erroneously described as the second volume of the Nihâyah. Cf. Cat. 227, i. 11 (?).
