资源简介:

This dataset contains 22 categorical GeoTIFF raster layers representing multiscale TPI-based slope-position landform classifications for Sardinia, Italy. The raster outputs were generated from the official 10 m Digital Terrain Model (DTM) of Sardinia. To assess grain-size effects, a 40 m DTM was produced by bilinear resampling. Both input DTMs were projected to UTM Zone 32N (EPSG:32632) prior to processing. Landforms were classified using a slope-position approach based on the standardized Topographic Position Index (TPI) and local slope. For each DTM grain size, the classification was repeated across 11 neighbourhood sizes: 9, 13, 17, 21, 25, 33, 41, 49, 81, 161 and 321 cells. This resulted in 22 raster outputs, corresponding to 11 neighbourhood sizes × 2 DTM grain sizes. Each raster retains the spatial resolution of the corresponding input DTM and stores integer class codes representing six relative topographic positions: 1 = Valley, 2 = Lower Slope, 3 = Flat Slope, 4 = Middle Slope, 5 = Upper Slope and 6 = Ridge. The deposited rasters cover the regional extent of Sardinia and provide the spatial basis for the multiscale comparison and stability analyses described in the associated manuscript. They are intended to support transparent reuse, reproducibility, independent inspection of scale-dependent terrain representations and downstream applications in land and ecosystem classification, spatial planning and environmental modelling. The raster inventory, file-naming convention, class codes and dataset-level metadata are provided in Supplementary Appendix S1 of the associated manuscript.
