Gigasnoma - The Desulfovibrio gigas Genome. Megalodesulfovibrio gigas DSM 1382 = ATCC 19364

The goal of this sequencing project was to provide a full genomic overview of the genome features from Desulfovibrio gigas. This is relavant since, from different studies, many of D.gigas proteins and operons were already analyzed and characterized . Furthermore due to the high level of genomic divergence that can be observed between the Desulfovibrio species, D.gigas can also be used as a model organism of the Desulfovibio genus.
