Investigations into the phylogeny of the Stomiiformes

This study was an Investigation into the evolutionary history of the Stomiiformes using morphological and genomic data that tested the intrarelationships of the dragonfishes and their allies focusing on the traditional Gonostomatidae and Phosichthyidae. The results placed the Phosichthyidae and the gonostomatid Triplophos into the synonymy of an expanded Stomiidae.
