Automatic image analysis is shaped by user bias: Metric choices

The underlying images and analysis scripts for Figure 4C-E of Believing is seeing – the deceptive influence of bias in quantitative microscopy.
The files Cell1.tif and Cell2.tif contain images of focal adhesions as described in README.txt and in the associated publication. A trained Weka Segmentation model and intermediate processing outputs are included in WekaSegmentation.zip. The MATLAB script analyzeAdhesions.m was used to create statistics on the Weka-segmented adhesions; the expected output from this script is provided in analysisOutput.zip.
