LCA data sets of a case study on optimal space utilization in the PBF-LB/M process using the example of a bicycle steering rack made of AlSi10Mg

The available data sets originate from an ecological assessment of a material flow-based LCA of different installation space utilization of a PBF-LB/M system (EOSINT M280, manufacturer EOS GmbH). The investigated demonstrator is an aluminum bicycle handlebar stem, which was analyzed in two sizes (A and B). The LCA is a cradle-to-gate approach, starting with the resource extraction of the AlSi10Mg through to removing the support structures. These raw data sets originate from the Umberto LCA+ software and are the result of applying a complete ReCiPe(H) indicator set to the five different installation space utilization levels (A_full, A_single, B_full, B_single, A_B_full).
