U. prolifera was treated with different radiations: without UV-B as the control, 1 W m-2 as the medium radiation and 5 W m-2 as the strong radiation. The thalli were snap-frozen with liquid nitrogen and maintained at -80 C until RNA extraction. Total RNAs isolated from the thalli. These RNAs were used to construct cDNA library.
