Known Aus. species represents the number of species in public databases as reported by [39], presented both as total number (#) and as a % of the total recorded marine species for the Australian economic zone (%). Studied (%) is the percentage of recorded Australian species used in the present study. The table does not include all major marine groups in Australia, but lists the three largest groups not studied.
