资源简介:
Data from investigating field hockey injuries and associated risk factors of injury tabulated. Field hockey players were investigated using fortnightly questionnaires over a ten week period. The participant response rate was calculated at each fortnightly period by dividing the number of participants involved in the study during that two-week period by the total number of participants who received a questionnaire link during the specific two-week period. The overall average response rate was calculated by averaging all two-week periods. Descriptive statistics [means, median , standard deviations, and frequencies (n, %)] were used to describe the baseline characteristics, demographic data and clinical characteristics of injury. The injury prevalence per two-week period was calculated by dividing the total number of reported injuries in a specific time period by the total number of respondents in that period. A mean injury prevalence was calculated as a sum of all two-week time period prevalence divided by all two-week time periods of the study. The injury incidence was calculated by dividing the number of new injuries by the total running exposure in hours across all the periods. Inferential statistics was used to compare injured and non-injured participants’ demographic and training information to investigate and identify possible injury risk factors. Significant factors (p<0.05) from a univariate analysis were further explored in a multivariate model OR (PR; 95% CIs) were calculated to determine risk factors.
