Amazon Air Flights, 01 September 2018 to 31 August 2019

This dataset provides information on flights operated on behalf of Amazon Air between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019. During these twelve months, flights were operated by several leasing companies including Southern Air Transport, ABX, Air Transport International, and Atlas Air. The registration numbers for all aircraft flown by these carriers in service of Amazon were compiled from various sources (e.g., www.planespotters.net) and used to extract information from the flight-tracking website FlightRadar24 for all Amazon Air flights. Some duplicate entries and entries with incomplete information were deleted from the data; such deletions affected about 4 percent of flights in the raw data. The uploaded datafile has information on:

6) Scheduled time of departure (local time)
7) Actual time of departure (local time)
8) Scheduled time of arrival
9) Aircraft registration number
10) Aircraft type
11) Origin airport code (IATA)
12) Destination airport code (IATA)
13) Latitude of origin airport
14) Longitude of origin airport
15) Latitude of destination airport
16) Longitude of destination airport
17) Distance between origin and destination airports (kilometers)
18) City-pair code (concatenation of column 11 and column 12)
19) Payload of aircraft (simple weight payload; does not take into consideration constraints imposed by volumetric cargo or long-distance flights requiring extra fuel)
