资源简介:
This data includes the delineation of the perimeter of 18 water tracks (WT) and 16 thermoerosional gullies (TG) at the Galbraith Lake Basin, North Slope, Alaska in July 2024 using a Trimble Geo 7x unit with a horizontal accuracy of ~15 centimeters (cm). The WT and TG features were identified by walking around their perimeter with the Trimble device, following the field identification methods of Del Vecchio and Evans (2025). WTs are curvilinear drainage features that form above permafrost and tend to release more greenhouse gases than the surrounding hillslope. WTs can collapse into TGs. WTs and TGs typically exhibit vegetation such as sedges, dwarf shrubs, tussocks, and moss, which are distinct relative to surrounding hillslopes that are dominated by tussocks and moss. The perimeters in this dataset are used to aid in field testing the remote sensing identification of water tracks and thermoerosional gullies.
