Endosperm of wx and wx-sweet maize kernels were collected at five developmental stages (14, 17, 20, 23, and 26 days after pollination, DAP), with three biological replicates per time point. Total RNA from these samples was sent to Berry Genomics Co., Ltd. for RNA sequencing. The libraries were constructed and sequenced on an Illumina HiSeq 2500 platform to generate 150 bp paired-end reads.
