Canadians varied in their engagement with news about Bill C-18, with 20 percent saying that they had followed it in the news and discussed it with friends and family, whilst 30 percent had just scanned the headlines. Most were aware of the bill and the ensuing response from Meta and Google, with only 16 percent saying they had not heard anything about the matter.
