The behavioural responses of bumblebees <i>Bombus terrestris</i> in response to simulated rain: dataset and code for analysis

Five files, containing the dataset and R code used in 'The behavioural responses of bumblebees <i>Bombus terrestris</i> in response to simulated rain' by Reeves, Jarvis, Lawson &amp; Rands'<b>fourth_interval_group_assay.csv</b>' - a comma-delimited text file containing the relevant data from the colony-level experiments: 'experimentID' is a unique identifier for each experimental run; 'temp' is the temperature of the arena, in ºC; 'humid' is the relative humidity of the arena, in %RH; 'Rainfall' denotes whether an experiment was a dry (0) or wet (1) treatment; the four categories 'Flying', 'Foraging', Stationary' and 'Crawling' record the counts of individual bees engaged in each of the activities during the observation.'<b>i</b><b>ndiv_time_budget.csv</b>' - a comma-delimited text file containing the relevant data from the individual-level experiments: 'Individual' is the identity code of the bee; 'Rain' denotes whether an experiment was a dry (0) or wet (1) treatment; the six categories 'Foraging', 'Flying', 'RestingHigh', 'RestingLow', 'CrawlingHigh' and 'CrawlingLow' record the number of seconds during a twenty minute period that the individual was engaged in each of the six behaviours (noting that a bee may have returned to the next for some of its experimental time, meaning that the summed behaviours may add up to less than 1200 seconds).'<b>bee_rain_analysis.R</b>' - a text file presenting the R code used in the analysis.'<b>figure_2_data.csv</b>' - a comma-delimited text file containing a rearranged version of the 'fourth_interval_group_assay.csv' data, used for creating figure 2.'<b>figure_3_data.csv</b>' - a comma-delimited text file containing a rearranged version of the 'indiv_time_budget.csv' data, used for creating figure 3.<br>
