Heritage-Led Urban Regeneration in Living Heritage Sites of the Global South: A Systematic Literature Review of Governance, Community Impacts, and Adaptive Reuse

This dataset accompanies the systematic literature review article "Heritage-Led Urban Regeneration in Living Heritage Sites of the Global South: A Systematic Literature Review of Governance, Community Impacts, and Adaptive Reuse." The dataset contains the underlying data, reporting guidelines, and extended data used in this PRISMA 2020-compliant systematic review of 24 peer-reviewed studies (2013–2025) examining governance models, community impacts, and adaptive reuse strategies in living heritage sites across the Global South. Contents include: inclusion and exclusion criteria (Table 1), data extraction categories (Table 2), CASP quality assessment scores for all 24 included studies (Table 3), characteristics of included studies (Table 4), PRISMA 2020 flow diagram (Figure 1), completed PRISMA 2020 checklist with manuscript locations, and complete search strategies for Scopus, ProQuest, and EBSCOhost databases.
