Multimodal Whole Brain Imaging in Epilepsy (MOBILE) is a multimodal dataset from drug-resistant focal epilepsy (DRFE) patients probing brain structure and function at multiple scales using invasive and non-invasive electrophysiology and imaging measures. It assembles in each patient: stereo-electroencephalography (SEEG) recordings of seizures, interictal awake resting state and sleep; post-implantation computed tomography (CT) scan with SEEG electrodes; ictal SEEG signal quantification using Epileptogenicity Index (EI); simultaneous EEG-Magnetoencephalography (EEG-MEG), high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) acquired at 3T and 7T, and fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (PET). The 3T MRI proton protocol includes anatomical T1 weighted (T1w), diffusion (dMRI), and spectroscopic imaging (MRSI). The 7T MRI protocol includes proton anatomical T1w and T2 weighted (T2w), dMRI and resting state functional (rsfMRI) data, and sodium imaging (23Na MRI). Post-surgical structural MRI (T1w) at 3T was also obtained for patients who underwent surgery. MOBILE thus includes 3D quantitative information probing: 1) Ion homeostasis assessed by sodium concentrations (7T 23Na MRI) 2) Metabolism assessed by glucose metabolic rate (18F-FDG-PET), N acetyl-aspartate (NAA), total creatine, myo-Inositol and choline compounds concentrations (3T MRSI) 3) Neuronal activity assessed by local field potentials (LFPs) and magnetic field recordings (SEEG, EEG-MEG) 4) Hemodynamic activity assessed by blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) signal recording (7T rsfMRI) 5) Structural integrity and organization assessed by structural imaging and tractography (T1w, T2w, and dMRI - 3T and 7T).
