Purification of NTS1 from different host cells.

Average data for insect cells are from four purification experiments using 1L (3 experiments) or 4L (1 experiment) of cell culture as starting material. Average data for T-REx-293 cells are from two purification experiments using 1L of culture as starting material. All purification procedures were performed in the presence of neurotensin. The functional receptor yield was calculated from the cell density at harvest and [3H]NT binding assays on detergent-solubilized cells. The protein yield of the Talon column eluate was determined by the Amido Black method, as the presence of NT during the purification procedure prevented a radio-ligand binding analysis.
