Cold Water Infusion Enhances Image Quality in Sedated Miniprobe Endoscopic Ultrasonography: A Prospective, Multicenter, Double-Blind, Randomized Trial

Dataset DescriptionThis dataset comes from a prospective, multicenter, double-blind randomized controlled trial exploring the effects of different infusion water temperatures (cold: 6–10 °C; warm:20–24 °C; hot:35–39 °C) on sedated miniprobe endoscopic ultrasonography (mEUS) in 240 patients with GI protuberant lesions (June 2022–March 2023). Primary outcomes included mEUS image quality and diagnostic accuracy; secondary outcomes covered GI peristalsis, hemodynamics, patient-reported feelings, comfort, satisfaction and adverse events, confirming cold water infusion as optimal for better peristalsis suppression and image quality with comparable safety and comfort.Supplementary data includes 6 tables: ① Peristaltic grade of different GI parts (before/after infusion, cold group); ② Mean arterial pressure (MAP, mmHg); ③ Heart rate (beats/min); ④ Oxygen saturation (SpO₂, %); ⑤ Adverse event incidence (%) among three groups; ⑥ Patients' somatic and psychological feelings post-examination.The dataset provides complete baseline and post-intervention data, serving as a high-quality resource for standardized mEUS practice and related clinical researches on GI lesions.
