This project focuses on the genome sequencing and assembly of the Chinese stickleback (Pungitius sinensis). The stickleback is an important model organism for studying evolutionary biology, ecology, and genomics due to its unique life history and ecological adaptability. Currently, there is no reference genome available for this species. By generating the first high-quality reference genome for the Chinese stickleback, this project aims to fill this gap and provide essential genomic resources for further research.
