The Chickpea (Cicer arietinum) var. chirag was used to assess the effect of Ca-Nano particles on the growth and development of pulse crops. The seeds of chickpeas were sown in pots under greenhouse conditions. Ca-Nano-particles were applied to the soil spraying method at different doses, which include 1/50th (N50), 1/100th (N100), and 1/150th (N150), and the recommended dose of lime taken as a positive control (PC) and one negative control (NC) without treatment of line or Ca-Nano-particle. For each treatment, we used 8 replicates for the collection of morphological data. For transcriptome analysis, we selected two plants (two biological replicates) from each treatment. Leaf tissues were harvested from 25-day-old plants for RNA isolation and the preparation of an RNAseq library. The RNASeq libraries were sequenced using the Illumina Novaseq 6000 platform.
