该数据为2018年度中国林业和草原发展报告，在2017年之前为单独林业报告，之后增加草原发展部分，目前报告已从2000年更新至2018年。国家林业和草原局贯彻落实党中央关于林业和草原工作的方针政策和决策部署，在履行职责过程中坚持和加强党对林业和草原工作的集中统一领导。同时，加快建立以国家公园为主体的自然保护地体系，统一推进各类自然保护地的清理规范和归并整合，构建统一规范高效的中国特色国家公园体制。国家林业和草原局要切实加大生态系统保护力度，实施重要生态系统保护和修复工程，加强森林、草原、湿地监督管理的统筹协调，大力推进国土绿化，保障国家生态安全。

This dataset is the 2018 Annual Report on Forestry and Grassland Development of China. Prior to 2017, it was a standalone forestry report, and the grassland development section was added afterward. Up to the present, the report has been updated from the year 2000 to 2018. The National Forestry and Grassland Administration implements the guidelines, policies, and decision-making deployments of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China regarding forestry and grassland work, and upholds and strengthens the centralized and unified leadership of the Party over forestry and grassland work while performing its duties. Meanwhile, it will accelerate the establishment of a national park-led protected area system, uniformly promote the cleanup, standardization, and consolidation of various types of protected areas, and build a unified, standardized and efficient national park system with Chinese characteristics. The National Forestry and Grassland Administration shall effectively intensify ecosystem protection, implement important ecosystem protection and restoration projects, strengthen overall coordination of supervision and management over forests, grasslands and wetlands, vigorously promote national land greening, and safeguard national ecological security.
