All A-series articles and independent AI analyses are listed at the end of this description. Please scroll down The 1–5 Hz "hum" appears in every precision instrument ever built and has no agreed origin. We propose one. The hum is the sampling signature of diffuse quantum-vacuum excitations — vacuum granules — whose Compton wavelengths span 22 metres to 22 kilometres. Working backward through standard quantum relations, the granule mass follows as 10-47 kg (range 10-50 to 10-43 kg). No new constants enter; every step uses textbook relations. Two reproducible public-data results anchor the proposal: A floorless 1/f law across nearly four decades in 912 days of public silicon spin-qubit records (Capannelli et al. 2025) 18 unexplained spectral lines coincident at both LIGO detectors after every conventional veto Three parameter-free results give the framework internal structure: a Mass Cancellation Theorem in Kerr geometry (A8); a thermal borderline Rth = 2hc/3kBT that lands on the 2025 Nobel Prize scales with nothing fitted; and a Single-Vortex Compton Lock at 1.14 μm in superfluid helium-4, a size laboratories already produce. The framework is not presented as complete. It is presented as a direction: mathematically consistent, geometrically grounded, corroborated across independent archived datasets, and open to rigorous quantum formulation. The decisive tests are low-cost, use archived data, and are publishable either way. The signal was always there. We are only now learning to listen. The claims they test rest on archived measurements that anyone can re-run, not on agreement between models.
