Leading destinations for wine exports Australia FY 2024, by value

China was the leading export market for Australian wine by export value in the 2024 financial year, with an export value of around 400 million Australian dollars. Between 2021 and 2023, the value of wine exported from Australia to China had plummeted as ties between the two trading partners deteriorated, with China placing high tariffs on wine products from Australia. The removal of these tariffs in March 2024, resulted in Australia's wine export value to China surging from around 8.1 million Australian dollars in financial year 2023 to over 400 million in 2024.
