Heptacodium miconioides Rehd. is a high ornamental species that has been endangered in the wild due to various abiotic stresses, such as drought. Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) symbiosis has been proposed as playing a critical role in host plants growth and drought tolerance. To elucidate the contribution of AMF symbiosis in regulating drought tolerance, we investigated the transcriptomic characteristics of H. miconioides seedlings under drought stress.
