Coal consumption in short tons in Europe by country 2020

Russia and Germany are the largest consumers of coal in Europe. Both countries used in excess of 200 million short tons in 2020. Poland and Turkey followed, with each country using more than 100 million short tons of coal every year. However, in terms of countries with the highest coal consumption worldwide, China, India, and the United States far surpassed European consumption levels.
