Dataset: Gut microbiota and metabolic profiles in bronchopulmonary dysplasia and preterm controls

A total of 63 preterm infants (gestational age < 32 weeks) were enrolled and assigned to two groups: 30 with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) and 33 preterm controls. At 36 weeks of postmenstrual age, fecal and serum samples were collected and subsequently underwent 16S rRNA gene sequencing and metabolic profiling.
