This data corresponds to a manipulative field experiment conducted in 2012 by Julie Zill, Michael Gil, and Craig Osenberg in Moorea, French Polynesia. Experimental corals were used for two separate data sets: (1) the combined and separate effects of vermetid gastropod presence and sedimentation on coral growth, and (2) the sediment removal rate data obtained via timelapse video over 6 hour periods, using ImageJ to determine the fractions of sediment removed.
