Quality of Life Outcomes after Endoscopic Cholesteatoma Surgery: A Prospective Cohort Study

This dataset contains anonymized patient-level data collected in a prospective observational study investigating outcomes of exclusive endoscopic ear surgery (EES) for middle ear cholesteatoma. The dataset integrates demographic variables, clinical classifications, and patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs), enabling reproducibility of statistical analyses and secondary data exploration.Variables include:Demographics: Age, sex, operated side.Quality of Life (PROMs): COMQ-12 scores at baseline, 3, 6, and 12 months; Glasgow Benefit Inventory (GBI) at 6 and 12 months.Audiological outcomes: Pure-tone average expressed as air–bone gap (ABG) pre- and postoperatively.Clinical classifications: ChOLE staging and STAMCO classification.Surgical parameters: Type of ossiculoplasty (Cartilage, Incus Interposition, PORP, TORP, or none).Follow-up results: MRI-confirmed recurrence status.Data are fully anonymized and prepared in a standardized format (XLSX), accompanied by a variable dictionary and README documentation.This dataset supports reproducibility of analyses reported in the article “Quality of Life Outcomes after Endoscopic Cholesteatoma Surgery: A Prospective Cohort Study” and provides a resource for further statistical and comparative studies on patient-reported and audiological outcomes in cholesteatoma surgery.
